…In first jointly taught CIVICA master's course, students explore “Democracy in Crisis”
This is a first for CIVICA: around 25 students from the Hertie School in Berlin and 45 students from Sciences Po participated in the first jointly taught course by CIVICA - the alliance created in 2019 that brings together eight European universities. This fall 2020, professors Florence Faucher of Sciences Po and Christian Freudlsperger of the Hertie School focused on a subject of public interest to the whole world: "Democracy in crisis".
…Launch of the European Chair for Sustainable Development and Climate Transition
On 25 November 2020, Sciences Po is launching the European Chair for Sustainable Development and Climate Transition. It will be the first chair to be co-hosted by our two largest graduate schools: the School of Public Affairs, led by Dean Yann Algan, and the Paris School of International Affairs (PSIA), led by Dean Enrico Letta. The Chair would not be possible without the support of its three sponsors: Hermès, HSBC and the European Investment Bank.
…U7+: University presidents worldwide convene to tackle global issues affecting youth
Intergenerational justice will be the key theme driving the dialogue among more than two-dozen university presidents who will gather virtually Nov. 22-24 for the U7+ Alliance of World Universities Presidential Summit, originally launched by Sciences Po in 2019 and hosted this year by Northwestern University.
